Adidas Americana Lo Lux - Flavors of the World - Sanja Matsuri

In commemoration of the annual Sanja Matsuri festival held in Tokyo the third weekend of every May, Adidas has created these Americana Lo Luxes in a colorway reminiscent of the beautiful shrines of the festival. Dating back to the 7th Century, this Buddhist festival draws nearly 2 million people every year, flooding the streets of the Asakusa Ward of Tokyo with both tourists and Tokyoites alike. These Matsuri-inspired kicks come in a purple, black, and gold colorway, and are certainly deserving of the “Lux” designation, as these shoes feature copious amounts of premium grade leather, metallic accenting, and some very nice laces. The tongue decor represents the three main shrines of the festival, which are stored at the Asakusa Shrine itself. For those looking for something with historical background, beautiful design, and high quality materials, these shoes will hardly disappoint. Look for these at select Adidas accounts now. Via Major
