Etnies Screw – Updated Version – June ’09

attach-5

When Etnies first introduced the Screw in 1993, it was one of the most popular skate shoes on the market and was appreciated for its style as well as its performance.  Etnies has decided to bring back the Screw, but they have made some modifications to bring it up to speed with some slight changes. The biggest change is that the shoe has been slimmed down from its original extra-wide frame. Also, the K.O. Man logo that used to appear on the tongue label is sadly no longer with us, but Etnies has made up for it with some other nice features. The most notable improvement is the use of Etnies’ e-Suede for the uppers, contributing to longer lasting grip and durability when skating. The Screw still sports a mid cut, but this time around, it uses a multi-colored scheme as opposed to the usually solid OG versions. These are slated for a June release, but until then, check out some more images after the jump, including a look at the old school K.O. Man tongue label.
