The results are in and NBA 2K11 is unanimously considered one of the best basketball video games ever, certainly the best of this generation of consoles. Gawker Media video game blog Kotaku went so far as to say that, “Jordan’s presence makes the game almost heirloom-quality,” and that’s due in no small part to the incredible range of Air Jordans you can unlock through different in-game achievements. Every single Jay is here, from 1 to 2010 and even the 2010 Team, and each offers a different upgrade to your skill attributes. The abilities seem to be tied into MJ’s highlights from that particular season. For example, the Air Jordan VII brings along +4 in 3 point shooting in honor of the ‘Shrug Game’, memories of the ‘Flu Game’ give the AJXII a boost of stamina and the AJXIVs add 5 points to your midrange jumper a la ‘The Last Shot’.
