What made the Air Max LeBron VII and LeBron 8 such a widely popular shoe was the aesthetically pleasing full-length 360 Max Air unit. Jason Petrie and crew decided to go with Zoom Air for the LeBron VII P.S., so a repeat could have been expected for this year’s post-season shoe. Sneaker News gave you a first look at the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. not long ago and obviously all eyes were set on the bottom chassis to see what the lower-half of the P.S. would entail, and we were all pleasantly surprised to see the return of Max Air – though only on the heel. Most of 1990’s Nike Basketball classics comprised of heel-only visible Air, and for the LeBron 8 P.S., we’ve got another winner on our hands. The visible Air actually stretches to the midfoot, which then makes way to Zoom Air cushioning for faster response, and the Hyperfuse upper should keep Bron’s feet cool and ventilated without compromise. Here’s a look at a Black/Red/White ‘Away’ colorway of LeBron 8 P.S.; a tonal black Fuse upper reveals a red under-layer for a two-toned effect, with a red swoosh, laces, Max Air unit, and a white midsole and swoosh border. We’ve got a detailed gallery for you below so take a look and let us know what you think. via MarqueeSole.
