Vans and DQM Collaborate With Iconic Jazz Label Blue Note Records

Legendary Jazz record label Blue Note Records recently celebrated their 75th Anniversary. The label has housed some of the most important and legendary jazz recordings from the 1950s and 1960s and will get a nod from Vans and DQM with an upcoming collaboration later this summer. Finding parallels between the rhythmic world of skate culture and the classic music form, Vans also set out to produce a film featuring Don Was, the current President of Blue Note Records, and legendary skateboarder and contemporary musician Ray Barbee.

The Blue Note Records x Vans x DQM collaboration features the Vans Era and Vans SK8-Hi constructed of a premium 6oz canvas yardage with a print assembled of some of the most legendary cover art in Blue Note’s expansive catalog. Each pair promises to be unique, as no silhouette will feature the same exact replicated print. The Blue Note Records x Vans Era and Vans Sk8-Hi will release in two colorways on May 8th in-store and then on May 11th online.
