Get Ready For The Air Jordan Spike 40

Air Jordan Spike 40 Knicks Colorway Nike Air 01

The 30 Years of Jordan celebration has offered up plenty of opportunities for the brand to play up nostalgia. There was the return of Looney Tune greats like Bugs Bunny and Marvin The Martian to help push forward both the Jordan Super.Fly 4 and the Air Jordan 7. But before there was the Warner Bros collab, Jordan Brand had Spike Lee’s iconic black and white commercials and Mars Blackmon character to assist Mike in product placement. How does Spike get rewarded? With a brand new silhouette of course. The Air Jordan Spike 40 pays homage to Spike’s 40 Acres and a Mule film production company in name, while Nike Air branding hits the heel. Instead of a mash-up of past Jordan signatures, the design stands out on its own completely separate from the Jordan archives. A Knicks-like colorway will kick things off this November, with a wavy patent leather pattern and blue mesh doing most of the heavy lifting. A unique and bulky lacelock features Mars’ face for good measure. Get with us after the break for a better view of the upcoming Jordan Spike 40 and let us know if you plan on picking up a pair come 11/01.
