LeBron’s Devotion To Fatherhood And His Hometown Come Together In The Nike Air Akronite

Nike Air Akronite Home

No brand quite tells a story through the lens of the sneaker like Nike does. For decades the Swoosh brand has creatively wrapped up specific moments in a player’s life as part of a sneaker design and the all-new Air Akronite reflects two aspects of LeBron’s life that has driven him in the second half of his career – his devotion to his children and his commitment to his hometown of Akron, OH. Nike has created a brand new silhouette exclusively for kids that feature some key details like the midsole from the Air Tech Challenge II as well as a molded heel and ankle-strap, but again it’s the colorways that add another dimension to this upcoming silhouette. Seen here for the first time is the “Home” colorway, but expect a “Gum” and “Akronite” to drop in November, followed by the energetic “Space Race” and “Mini Hoop” in December. Check out the photos below and stay tuned for the official release on nike.com in November.
