Pharrell is getting his own signature sneaker with adidas in the adidas PW ZX 333. The move is a surprising update to the adidas Originals category, but in and of itself isn’t too much of a reach given the track record of the three stripe’s lifestyle imprint to reach out to the world-famous producer for frequent collaboration. From the playful dancing Instagram video, we can’t confirm too much other than a bright monochromatic colorway mirroring Pharrell’s affection for vibrancy (see the SuperColor collection for more on that). From the featured image, a bolstered neoprene base is interrupted by breathable mesh on the toecap while traditional three stripe panels are stitched onto the sides. The ZX imprint was one of the leading running categories during the late-80s to early-90s boom of technological running wonders. Given Pharrell’s ongoing nostalgia, the move to utilize the ZX series as inspiration is a smart one. No word yet on a release date, but we’ll keep you updated on Pharrell’s adidas sneaker right here on Sneaker News.
