Colin Kaepernick Just Donated His Entire Sneaker Collection

Colin Kaepernick made headlines throughout the past year not because of his on-field performance, but instead for his numerous choices off of it. While his decision to kneel during the National Anthem was polarizing enough to be a hot-button topic during an election year, Kap finds himself back in the news for something that anybody can get behind by giving back to the community through donating his entire sneaker collection.

Colin Kaepernick has been a dedicated sneakerhead for years and like most celebrated collectors, he’s showcased his prized pairs in videos and on social media. But now the San Francisco 49ers quarterback is parting ways with the lifestyle by giving up all of his size 13s to homeless shelters in the Bay Area. While not everyone will be able to fit into a pair, it definitely shows just how much Kaepernick cares for San Francisco and those in a less fortunate position. He also pledged to donate $100,000 a month to various causes and charities to usher in 2017.
