Nike Creates Special Winter Olympics Medal Stand Kit For Below-Freezing Temperatures

Nike Creates Special Winter Olympics Medal Stand Kit For Below-Freezing Temperatures

The upcoming winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea will feature medal ceremonies in open-air arenas, with temperatures expected to be below freezing. In response, the United States Olympic Committee has created a Medal Stand Kit in conjunction with Nike to keep American athletes warm as they proudly watch the rise of the Stars and Stripes and hear the National Anthem played. Included in this kit will be a Summit Jacket System, a Team USA pant, two NSW Gaiter Boots, and team branded gloves.

Both boots come equipped with a lace-free system that allows for easy access lock-down closure while still keeping warm. The men’s version sports a FlyEase-inspired entry system for even more ease for the athlete while the pair for the ladies has a taller construction and reflective material for additional warmth.

The entire Medal Stand Kit will be available for purchase from Nike.com on January 15th, alongside other Team USA apparrell. Check some photos of the entire collection below and you can read more about the Kit on Nike News.
