adidas Pairs The Micropacer With The NMD

adidas Pairs The Micropacer With The NMD

After modernizing the classic Micropacer with a Boost midsole to create the adidas Futurepacer, the Three Stripes is re-working the legendary training shoe yet again. This time, they’re fusing it with the adidas NMD R1 to create a brand-new adidas Micro R1 silhouette. The shoe’s Micropacer upper is dressed in a classic shimmering silver, while accents arrive via the light blue three stripe graphic on the midfoot, a light blue hit on the heel tab, and a bone-colored suede mudguard. With the retro base set, the modern-day NMD makes its presence known via the white Boost midsole complete with red and black blocks, the heel pull tab, and the low-profile black outsole. A truly interesting combination of old and new, this Micro R1 proves that the Futurepacer’s design still holds up more than 30 years after its original release—and that the NMD’s sleek style and striking tooling could very well do the same. This brand-new silhouette is set to release September 1st, so enjoy a full set of images below while you wait and let us know what you think about the shoe’s interesting look.
