“Team Orange” Accents Come To Nike’s Popular Air Max 98

“Team Orange” Accents Come To Nike’s Popular Air Max 98

Its 20th anniversary may have drawn to a close, but the party’s far from over for Nike’s ultra-popular Air Max 98. The Sergio Lozano-designed classic is set to be a centerpiece of the Swoosh Brand’s lifestyle releases in 2019 and beyond, releasing monthly in fresh new colorways. Now, it’s surfaced in an eye-catching new color scheme with plenty of bold and bright details. A rather simple combo of gunsmoke grey, dark black, and airy white is used for the upper’s base, providing a perfect slate for the accents to do the talking — and talk they certainly do. Orange piping is present throughout the upper, and several overlays opt for a rich purplish-blue for extra contrast. A two-tone tongue badge adds a small hit of yellow hues into the mix, and the look is then completed by a white midsole with an orange Air Max cushioning unit. Sure to find favor with any long-suffering Knicks or Mets fans due to the color palette, these new 98s will drop on Nike.com soon, so check out a full gallery of official images below while you wait.
