COMME des GARÇONS and Converse Drop A Khaki Chuck 70 Hi With Multiple Hearts

COMME des GARÇONS and Converse Drop A Khaki Chuck 70 Hi With Multiple Hearts

Rei Kawakubo’s COMME des GARCONS has successfully reworked the Converse Chuck 70 time and time again, applying their instantly recognizable heart-with-eyes graphic to the shoe’s canvas upper in a veritable slew of different styles. No matter if the cheery heart’s cheekily peeking over the midsole or surrounded by bold polka-dots, it always ensures a happy hit — and now the popular collab has surfaced with a fresh method of embellishment: multiple small heart logos on the upper’s bottom half. Tumbling across the entire lateral side and half of the medial side, the red hearts alternate between vertical/horizontal alignments, and provide a bold contrast with the stately khaki base. A classic star patch appears on the medial collar, while an overlaid strip of black fabric provides contrast on the heel and a little extra structure. An off-white rubber toe cap and midsole then complete the look. As CDG Chucks tend to roll out gradually over the course of the season instead of releasing on a firm date, this new makeup is available now for $135 USD at some of the retailers listed below, while others will likely receive stock later this season. Check out photos/the aforementioned store list right here, and stay tuned for more release updates on these collaborative Converse Chuck Taylors as they’re available.
