New Balance’s Latest 990v5 Is Covered In Rich Burgundy Suede

The New Balance 990v5 has certainly been enjoying some garnered time in the spotlight recently thanks to its partnerships with industry stalwarts such as BEAMS and Aime Leon Dore. However, the Boston-based imprint aims to give its lifestyle silhouette a quick break from its collaborative ventures by fashioning its “dad shoe” staple in a brand new two-toned colorway this season. Steering away from the more popular greyscale palettes that usually attract most consumers, this next installment equips its mesh and suede uppers with a rich burgundy coating, and applies hints of navy blue towards the the lace stays and overlays closest to the ankle that lend these to an unofficial “USA” motif. See a detailed look here below, and if you’re interested in getting your hands on a pair, they are now available on NewBalance.com and at select retailers for $175 USD.
