First Look At The Supreme x Nike Air Max Plus “University Red”

First Look At The Supreme x Nike Air Max Plus “University Red”

News of Supreme‘s Nike Air Max Plus trio first made their rounds on the Internet back in February. Since then, the streetwear institution has dropped a controversial Air Force 1 duo and been linked to upcoming, once Wale-endorsed Nike boots and other NIKE, Inc. options. Most recently, however, the James Jebbia-founded brand has unofficially shared a look at its “University Red/Varsity Maize” Tuned Air collaboration.

This upcoming iteration of the beloved ’98 silhouette indulges in a black and scarlet palette. Mesh bases clad in the former set the stage for the accents dipped in the latter, which feature a fluorescent-like finish. Palm tree-inspired TPU overlays go from vibrant red to hot pink the closer they are to the midsole; profile swooshes borrow the “Tn AIR” badge’s signature yellow hue. By comparison, Supreme’s branding on the tongue favors an understated, black/white arrangement; insoles are stamped with the brand’s most iconic box logo. Sole units round out the pair in a predominantly black color scheme complemented by a “University Red” midfoot shank and Air Max units.

Enjoy a first-look at Supreme’s Air Max Plus “University Red” here below. This pair, just as accompanying “Hyper Grape/Varsity Maize” and “Black/Black” versions, are rumored to launch throughout fall.
