This Women’s Nike Daybreak Type Gets A “Pale Ivory/Metallic Gold” Update

This Women’s Nike Daybreak Type Gets A “Pale Ivory/Metallic Gold” Update

Nike Sportswear’s experimental N.354 label has produced several impressive iterations of beloved classics since launching in 2019. Among them, the Nike Daybreak Type, which has recently emerged in a “Pale Ivory/Metallic Gold/Summit White” colorway for women.

At a glance, the forthcoming pair deviates less from the original 1979 running silhouette than some previous releases. Closer inspection, however, reveals that despite donning leather profile swooshes, the three-tone proposition reimagines its predecessor via a “split” midsole. Elsewhere, breathable mesh bases and their mixed-materials overlays reinterpret the original Daybreak model without sacrificing the familiarity of the once-performance-oriented sneaker. Outsoles further nod to the past with their waffle-pattern, although the tread closest to the heel features non-standard extra tooling.

A Nike.com release date is unknown, but this women’s pair is likely to arrive in early 2021. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the shoes ahead.
