This Nike Air Max 90 “Left Over, Made Right” Is Built From Scraps

The Nike Air Max 90 isn’t celebrating a milestone anniversary, but it continues to assist NIKE, Inc. in dominating the sneaker space. In addition to surfacing in compelling colorways, the model has inched the North American company closer to its sustainability goals, with a recent “Left Over, Made Right” style combining both efforts.

Ostensibly created from surplus materials, the forthcoming pair features a disparate mix of tones across its upper. Mudguards are split between black synthetic leather and aqua fabric, and is held in place with neon green and pink stitching. TPU detailing along the tongue, at the mid-foot and on the heel further indulge in varying hues, with the most latter area boasting an Easter-friendly purple. Mesh and leather underlays throughout the sneaker’s upper maintains a contrasting, but understated black and white arrangement, allowing for the aforementioned components to battle for the spotlight. Underfoot, the Air Max unit and its accompanying enclosure introduce vibrant scarlet and speckling to the shoe, respectively. Lastly, outsoles partially comprise of Nike Regrind material, tooling created from factory floor scraps.
