The Nike Air Max 97 Gets Covered In “Smoke Grey” And Silver

Months away from entering its 25th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 97 has emerged in handfuls of original and modern styles. A newly-surfaced “Smoke Grey/Medium Ash/Metallic Silver” colorway adds another notch to the latter cohort.

Mesh and synthetic leather materials throughout the upper indulges in a greyscale arrangement that loosely harkens back to the model’s inaugural “Silver Bullet” style. Vamp overlays closest to the pair’s mudguard introduce iridescent flair into the mix. “Metallic Silver” across the profiles and tongue proffer further contrast, while Air Max units underfoot opt for a “colorless” look that complements the midsole’s foam component. Lastly, the tread opts for a light grey makeup that rounds out the greyscale proposition.

Complete release details haven’t been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. While you wait for a Nike.com launch, enjoy images of the shoes ahead.
