The Nike LeBron 9 “Arnold Palmer” Is Releasing For The First Time In 2022

At times called the “LeBronald Palmer,” the Nike LeBron 9 “Arnold Palmer” caused quite the stir when the athlete revealed the colorway in 2012. And while there was certainly demand for it, a release never came to be, causing resale prices to rise over the course of the next 9 years. But as the shoe closes in on its 10th year, it seems we’ll finally see a release later this 2022.

A vibrant, tropical-themed celebration of the legendary golfer — whom some may be familiar with due to the half-and-half drink alone — the shoe embodies what it means to be on vacation. Through the yellow Hyperfuse upper, palm trees and related greenery can be found in spades, the latter a tonal complement to the leafy tongue and midsole. Orange, then, brightens up the lining, Air Unit, and the side check, while also matching a few of the printed details. Additionally, the aforementioned drink and gilded tabs dress the insole and heel, respectively.

In anticipation for next year’s Retro, find images the older pair below. Expect more release details to surface in the coming months.

In case you missed it, the A Ma Maniere Air Jordan 1 will be releasing first this November 24th.
