The Nike Air Force 1 Fontanka “Phantom” Is Meant To Look Aged

Old meets new…meets old again. The Air Force 1 Fontanka, one of Nike’s daring remixes for women, has stirred up quite a reaction from the AF1 fanbase. There’s a laundry list of funky transformations that appear on this model, but there’s something compelling about this haphazard construction of leather layers that have women coming back for more. While most of the AF1 Fontanka releases have been fairly modern with its color selections, this upcoming “Phantom” is clearly trying to turn back the clock.

With an off-white creamy upper, an aged yellow “Beach” sole, and grey on the protruding React foam cushion segment, this Air Force 1 Fontanka looks to achieve that vintage aesthetic with that specific tint that gives off an aged look. The triplet of Swoosh logos in primary colors snap these back to modern day, but there’s no denying the appeal of these to the thrift store rummagers.

Expect a release soon on Nike.com exclusively for women.
