Nike’s Psychedelic Doodles Appear Atop Yet Another Air Force 1

Nike’s Psychedelic Doodles Appear Atop Yet Another Air Force 1

Celebrated by way of GRs as well as collaborations, the Air Force 1 has been spoiled ever since the start of the year, as Nike is attempting to appropriately honor the shoe’s impressive history. Some, like Stussy and Civilist Berlin, have brought their own design language to Bruce Kilgore’s beloved creation, while the Swoosh themselves have let their imaginations run wild. And this is most clear with the brand’s latest collection, which delivers playful details and artwork ripped straight out of fever dream.

Now on its third Air Force 1, the pack applies illustrations to many parts of the construction. The “AIR” across the midsole, for starters, is accented with a glistening effect, matching the energy of the doodles that surround and cover the warped Swoosh. Behind, the heel tab incorporates a vibrant gradient made up of green and orange, both of which also appear across the pattern-dressed outsole as well as the edges of the upper’s paneling. Finally, the tongue label and sockliner round out the package with sneaker-wearing hands and complementary drawings.

In other news, the Yeezy Boost 350 Turtle Dove is finally returning this year.
