The Air Jordan 1 Low “Copper Toe” Releases Soon In Kid’s Sizing

The Air Jordan 1 Low “Copper Toe” Releases Soon In Kid’s Sizing

As one of the model’s more experimental trims, the Air Jordan 1 Low continues to deliver refreshing styles of the late Peter Moore’s 37-year-old design. Recently, the sneaker emerged in what’s likely to be a kid’s-exclusive “Copper Toe” ensemble.

The metallic hue has previously appeared on other propositions from NIKE, Inc. (Foamposites, anyone?), but its application on the Air Jordan 1 has been scarce. Shiny patent leather panels make up the toe box and nearby overlays, with the layers around the forefoot and along the tongue helping enable the “Copper Toe” moniker given the “Black Toe” nickname given to one of the model’s original colorways. Shimmering panels find their way across the heel too, with the collar area donning gold-like “paint splatter” that matches the profile swooshes and “Wings” insignias on the spine. No overt nod to the “Defining Moments Pack” drop from 2006 is made on the kid’s retro, but the heavy use of black and a champagne-reminiscent tones likens to sneaker to that fan-favorite duo.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.
