The Nike Air Force 1 Shadow Combines A “Mars Yard” Look With Plush Materials

Tans and reds will forever be associated with Tom Sachs’ Nike Mars Yard sneaker, a shoe inspired by the iconic Lava Dome from the brand’s ACG category. Now, that aesthetic is ported over to a women’s exclusive sneaker, perfectly achieving that legendary look with a cozy twist.

This upcoming women’s release presents an impeccable color combination of Shimmer and Sanddrift tones varying by each of the Shadow’s exaggerated panels. An attractive Mars Stone hue lands on the surface of a Swoosh, matching the heel-tab and the Nike Air logo on the tongue. Sitting just below that logo is a fuzzy plush exterior reminiscent of stuffed animals — an aesthetic emphasized by the light brown exterior.

This AF1 Shadow is set to arrive soon; see the official images ahead for a closer.

On the topic of Mars Yards, the Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoe will be dropping in August.
