“Vachetta Tan” Returns To The Nike Dunk High

“Vachetta Tan” Returns To The Nike Dunk High

The Nike Dunk High has accomplished a lot over the last 37 years, delivering versatile looks for every style preference. Recently, the late Peter Moore’s iconic design emerged in a “Vachetta Tan” leather build reminiscent of the 2010s.

Although high-quality, smooth leather construction isn’t new to the made-for-basketball silhouette, this type of proposition became popular because of Hender Scheme, a Japanese footwear and accessories label founded by designer Ryo Kashiwazaki. The label’s Manual Industrial Products (MIP) line produced untreated leather versions of various sneakers from NIKE, Inc. – including the Air Force 1 – for an offering that would develop unique character after wear. Visually, the newly-surfaced Nike Dunk resembles Kashiwazaki’s work, though the Swoosh’s style is produced in higher quantities and thus boasts different quality. Nevertheless, the upper takes on a uniform aesthetic, while the sole unit underfoot takes on a two-tone arrangement that compliments the upper well.

No firm Nike SNKRS launch details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
