The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Dune Red” Mimics Jordan Brand’s Metallic Pack From ’85

The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Dune Red” Mimics Jordan Brand’s Metallic Pack From ’85

Remaining one of the most divisive models within the brand’s retro archives, the Air Jordan 1 Mid has comprised an expansive summer-ready line-up filled with general release colorways and premium crafted SEs. While the Peter Moore design will be returning to its heralded Metallic collection in 2024, next Spring will simultaneously feature a matching mid-top construction.

Picking up on all the same design cues as its 1985 contemporary – save the typical metallic finish – the off-distant release reserves a dominant amount of real estate for the crisp white hues of the tumbled leather upper. With the upcoming “Metallic Burgundy” silhouette shifting its once bright red hue to a darker tint, here a slightly different “Dune Red” shade assumes its placement along the collar, nylon lining, mid-foot Swoosh and tread. In an effort to mimic the look of the original 1985 color blocking, an aged cream midsole compliments the overtly nostalgic upper.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Dune Red” is tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2024 release. In the meantime, enjoy a first look at the upcoming proposition below.

In other sneaker news, the CLOT x Nike Cork Dunk releases next Friday, June 23rd.
