Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 16 Appears In “Triple Red”

Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 16 Appears In “Triple Red”

A year ago, the Phoenix Suns looked like a completely different squad. The Western Conference squad somehow has four max-contract salaries on their ledger, but shrewdly tacked on a number of ancillary pieces that, quite honestly, round out the group quite well. At the front lines are Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and DeAndre Ayton, while a talented class of role players (Eric Gordon, Yuta Watanabe, Drew Eubanks, and others wait behind them as Phoenix.

For KD specifically, it’s hard to ignore that the window for a third championship is slightly diminishing year by year. The Slim Reaper is turning 35 years old right before the season starts, and while the numbers and production are there, durability has now become an issue for the former league MVP. Hopefully the stacked roster means less of a rigorous nightly outing, because without KD at 100% in the Playoffs, the Suns frankly have no shot.

The Nike KD 16 will also get its proper time to shine after appearing for just a few weeks last season. While Nike has several colorways and themes planned moving forward, few can be as eye-catching as a “Triple Red” concoction — an infamous colorway in sneakers.

There are not further details at the moment, but expect the Nike KD 16 to release en masse beginning this Fall 2023 season.
