One of the newer hybrid offerings from Jordan Brand, the Stadium 90 is throwing back to the GOAT’s playing days as they suit up in “Chicago” red & white.

The Jordan Stadium 90, while not a mashup model in the exact, open manner of the Spizike or 678, does still take inspiration from Mike’s original footwear. Namely, the Jordan 1 and 5 are easily identifiable as reference points. The toebox, lace and tongue are a dead ringer for the former, while the heel cup, sole and flare design come from the latter. In more abstract terms, the model is no doubt a tribute to Michael’s history, combining his rookie year with his first year under Phil Jackson.

Given the immense weight of the Bulls on the Jordan line writ large, there’s no more fitting or instantly recognizable palette than “Chicago.” Following in the footsteps of the “Black Toe,” “Lost and Found” & “Banned” on one hand, and the “Fire Red” & “Raging Bull” on the other, a red & white formulation of Stadium 90 was more or less bound to happen at some point. Though the shades remain consistent with those venerated colorways, the layout of them is a bit altered in its application here. White plays the point, red takes up the bulk of the branding and black plays off those shades, taking up the side panels, sock liner and sole.

No release date is set for this pair just yet, but given their warm-weather leanings, we can expect these to debut in the next few weeks. They’ll arrive with a retail price of $140 when they do hit shelves.
