Jordan Brand has always derived elements from high fashion, and recent Air Jordan 1 Low releases speak to that fondness to a tee. Among “Method Of Make” pairs and other dressed-up GRs, the latest AJ1 Low comes as a notable standout.

The shoes marry iconic Jordan Brand hallmarks with elevated materials and add-ons, striking a clear balance between Air Jordan heritage and formalwear. Taken in an all-black palette, Beaverton designers slap a debossed elephant print pattern on patent leather overlays. We also see the inclusion of a chrome Jumpman lace dubrae, matched in essence by white branding on the heel and tongue. The base is crafted from pebbled leather, and while maybe an afterthought in this case; Jordan includes rounded athletic laces as opposed to the flat ones that typically come with the model.

The design theme is one that might make more sense on the “OG” Air Jordan 1 Low cut given the more limited nature of that version, but the delivery comes as a welcome departure from standard materials and color blocking nonetheless.
