Mark Gonzales’ adidas Aloha Super Lands In “Burnt Sienna”

Autumnal style for the classy skate silo.

Mark Gonzales’ adidas Aloha Super Lands In “Burnt Sienna”

During most of Mark Gonzales’ culture-defining career, he’s been rocking the Three Stripes. Partners since 1998, they entered a new chapter of their relationship in 2018 with the introduction of the Aloha Super, a brand new signature shoe. It’s been a staple of adidas Skateboarding ever since, and it shows off some timeless style in its latest “Burnt Sienna” delivery.

It’s almost a dress shoe-like arrangement for this colorway, mashing together deep brown, jet black and titular “Burnt Sienna” coming together on this profile. While it does create a classy atmosphere, that’s slightly interrupted by the trademark Gonzales x adidas branding at the tongue, adapting Gonz’s visual art style.

That color cohesion creates some nice dissonance with the eclectic blend of materials on tap. Rich suede dresses a majority of the upper but synthetic nylon fabric makes an entrance at the tongue while full-grain leather takes on a stripe from midfoot to midfoot. Combine that with the translucent rubber cup sole, and you’ve got a luxe blend of hardware without a back-breaking price tag, to boot.

The adidas Aloha Super in “Burnt Sienna” is available now via the adidas site. Like many skate staples, the price tag is extremely accessible, clocking in at just $90. Grab a pair via our “Where To Buy” links below.
