The Serena Williams Design Crew Returns With The Nike Victory Tech

A new silhouette inspired by an existing model.

The Serena Williams Design Crew Returns With The Nike Victory Tech

Created in 2021, the Serena Williams Design Crew partners with up-and-coming designers to produce footwear and apparel for Nike’s crowning tennis star. It’s been a relatively quiet year for the group following the release of a Serena Williams Air Max 1 in March, but it now appears that we’re getting a capsule collection in the near future.

For our purposes, the highlight is a new model dubbed the Victory Tech, shown here via official Nike images. The shoe features the same sole as the Tech Hera, an under-the-radar running-inspired silhouette, but the top half is almost all-new. Clad in all-white, the Victory Teach features a leather mudguard, TPU arch and netting near the quarter, mesh forefoot, and Huarache-style nylon collar. Not without special Serena Williams detailing, the shoe comes with a metallic gold dubrae attached to the tongue pull tab and matching Swoosh logos on the lateral sides. Additionally, the inner tongues feature script reading “Victory is very, very sweet” and “It tastes better than any dessert you’ve ever had.” The Victory Tech gives off a clear tennis shoe aesthetic, but Nike has these listed under the lifestyle category.

The SRDC x Nike Victory Tech is available now directly from Nike for $120.
