It’s Confirmed: Copper Foamposites Are So Back On December 4th

It may not get as much shine as the “dad shoe” renaissance, but we’re currently in the center of a new apex for the Nike Foamposite. Beaverton kept the shelves stocked with fresh colorways of the Penny Hardaway silhouette for the past several years, but even amid those novel formulations, it’s hard to unseat the classics. That’s why fanatics have had December 5th circled all year long, when the Nike Foamposite “Copper” lands after seven years on ice.

This marks the third release for the metallic colorway, debuting in 2009 before its last re-release in 2017. The 2010s pair presented with icy blue soles, a divisive detail alleviated with a return to full translucence on the 2024 edition, confirmed with official images earlier in the year. Other than that, expect the layout that made these a modern classic; bronze reflective siding paired with a black lace unit and outsole.

As mentioned towards the top, the Nike Foamposite One “Copper” releases on December 5th, retailing at $240. Keep an eye on our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates and get a refresher on the 2017 release via in-hand shots ahead.
