Donovan Mitchell and his Cleveland Cavaliers will have Christmas off this year, but that doesn’t detract from the squad quickly taking the mantle of “biggest surprise story” so far this season. Red and green is a requisite combination in this sort of execution, but the neon-tinged way it’s applied is noteworthy. It compares to the vaunted “Grinch” colorway, or perhaps more accurately, “Reverse Grinch.” The wavy TPU interjection at the quarter, mirrored by the carbon fiber shank and inner bootie, keeps this pair grounded. More generally, the balanced approach between totally vibrant and totally neutral means this pair makes for a suitable embrace of the season without compromising year-round style that’ll turn heads on the court.

The adidas D.O.N. Issue #6 “Christmas” is officially releasing via adidas on December 7th, though select retailers have it set for the 6th. Expect a $120 retail price wherever you grab your pair.
