The Salomon Genesis ADVANCED Is As Durable As It Gets

While Salomon’s ascension in the sneaker industry can be attributed to a handful of models, namely the XT-6, the French outdoors brand isn’t one to rest on its laurels. On top of returning silhouettes like the XT-Whisper, Salomon is continuing to pump out new premium product through their growing ADVANCED line. Next up from the sub-brand is the reinforced Genesis ADVANCED – available now in three colorways.

To put it simply; the Genesis ADVANCED looks like a mashup of the baseline Genesis trail runner and the Salomon XT-4. Salomon’s hallmark sharp-edged sidewalls appear as a TPU cage, and extra armor over the toe and heel deliver even more durability and impact protection.

The upper is comprised of lightweight, abrasion-resistant kevlar material and comes with a form-fitting internal sleeve for stability. Underfoot, the model is complete with an EVA foam midsole and Salomon’s rugged All Terrain Contagrip outsole.

The black, “Fallen Rock,” and “Pale Olive Green” colorways displayed in the gallery below are all available now via the Salomon website. The model retails for $250, which is roughly $100 more than the baseline Salomon Genesis.
