The Nike Shox TL Cools Off With “Celestine Blue”

The Nike Shox TL, already one of the gaudiest sneakers on the market, somehow outdid itself in terms of shock value. At the hands of former Givenchy head Riccardo Tisci, the Shox TL underwent an interesting and probably unnecessary transformation by adding removable ankle cuffs, envisioning a potential high-top boot version of the performance runner. Tisci has already had those dreams realized in the past with the Air Max 97; with the Shox TL, we can say for certain that some ideas are better on paper.

Thankfully, Shox fanatics have plenty to choose from. The TL model has been an unstoppable force on the market as Nike is clearly dedicated to keep the mid-2000s runner a hit among today’s generation. One of the few full-length Shox’d models in history, the TL was once designed for pinnacle performance; now it exists for sporty fits.

This Black/Celestine Blue/Cool Grey is set to land this early Fall 2025 for $170 in men’s sizes; below is a first look at official retailer images, which should provide the most accurate look yet. Stay tuned for updates.
