The Nike Air Max Plus Goes Lifestyle In “Light Orewood Brown”

A tonal twist for Summer/Fall.

The Nike Air Max Plus Goes Lifestyle In “Light Orewood Brown”

It’s hard to hide the Air Max Plus’ sporty hardware regardless of how you draw it up, but some of the model’s recent looks have tripled down on the cushioning that brought it its profile in the first place. While you’re likely to see more “Tuned Air” editions in the near future, the Swoosh is partially reversing course for at least a moment, as the Nike Air Max Plus “Light Orewood Brown” slices in an opposite aesthetic direction.

Coated in a blend of “Light Orewood Brown/Cacao Wow/Metallic Silver/White,” this make-up of Sean McDowell’s design is a rejection of the sportstyle vibrance that the silhouette typically parlays in, instead venturing in a trendier direction of neutrals and earthy shades. An overall aversion to this portion of the color wheel doesn’t mean it necessarily can’t rise to the moment. Indeed, the interplay between rich brown branding notes and creamy TPU trim surrounding the mesh interior makes these a stylish addition to summer rotations.

As a Nike general release, the Nike Air Max Plus “Light Orewood Brown” will no doubt hit Nike.com and partnering retailers without much telegraphing beforehand. We’ll update this page and our Sneaker Release Dates hub with direct links once landed — be ready for a $180 sticker price.
