Have you been sufficiently reminded about the Jordan 5‘s 35th anniversary? No, not the Air Jordan 5 “35th Anniversary,” but the initiative overall, commemorating one of the most well-regarded of the retro models as it creeps towards middle age. The first half of 2025 was started by the “Black Metallic Reimagined,” further set to deliver the Jordan 5 “Grape” in just a matter of days from this writing, but there’s plenty of gifts the silhouette has yet to unwrap for the closing chapter, perhaps best encapsulated by the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red.”
Always a hot topic whenever the shoe returns to shelves, this delivers the “Black Tongue” variation of Fire Red, an equally OG counterpart to the silver pair, inverting the midsole yet still delivering an equally Bulls-approved colorway. While both landed together in 2013, in the years surrounding, “Fire Red” releases have come in staggered fashion, typically swapping between the two variants every few years; indeed, this “Black Tongue” drop pays off the 2020 “Silver Tongue.”
