The adidas DON Issue #7 Emulates A “Bruce Lee” Colorway

The fighter's legacy jumps from one adidas athlete to another.

The adidas DON Issue #7 Emulates A “Bruce Lee” Colorway

Few color combinations have stood the test of time the way that Bruce Lee’s “Game of Death” yellow and black have. The film’s cult intrigue eventually led to references like Quentin Tarantino’s homage in Kill Bill, acting as a force multiplier that has begotten countless footwear allusions over the years. adidas is set to unveil a second tacit reference following the official Kareem Abdul-Jabbar collaboration via the adidas DON Issue #7 “Bruce Lee.”

The iconic martial artist’s costuming is made more iconic by its simplistic fare, faithfully adapted with the bright yellow upper and jet black inner bootie on this shoe. However, Donovan Mitchell and the adidas team add a bit more flair to this design with vibrant red piping surrounding that exterior layer, that hue further delivered with the stippled Three Stripes branding. One final color enters the mix with a paired grey midfoot plate and zipper, the latter bearing a Spida-inspired web pattern.

The adidas DON Issue #7 “Bruce Lee” is projected for a release during the Fall 2025 shopping season, carrying a $120 retail price. The silhouette’s debut comes on July 7th with the adidas DON Issue #7 “Lucid Pink.”
