Their adidas partnership has defined CLOT’s recent footwear canon, but even amid that prolific Three Stripes work, you can’t discount them as one of the more significant collaborative forces at large. In a move surprising only for how long it took to finally check off, they and BAPE teamed up for the first time at the turn of the year, with the Hong Kong imprint bringing their trademark prints to propel the BAPE Shark Sta, a trendier entry into the BAPE catalog. For their follow-up, CLOT and BAPE are going back to basics in some ways, stamping two looks on the BAPE Sta with a run of graphic tees coming alongside.
The defining aesthetic for this collection is a mashup between two textures that’ve defined each brand’s work, overlaying the CLOT ALIENGRA pattern on top of a digitized version of the iconic BAPE camo. Keeping with the overall simplistic design cues mentioned above, easily digestible palettes are on display here, split between black-on-grey and conventional olive for the two colorway options. Though the patented prints certainly make for a strong impression, CLOT and BAPE additionally spruce up their STA outfits with co-branding details; the shoes alternate between their logos on the vamp, lace dubrae, and heel brand, where the “CLOT Sta” imprint makes its strongest mark.

In addition to the shoes on offer, this “worlds collide” atmosphere continues into an APE head tee, trucker hats that mirror each color option, and two “CLOT Sta” shirts exclusive to Juice store locations. The collection launches globally on July 26th, with the two sneakers hovering around 1,999 HKD (~$255 USD).
