Once a punchline for staunch retro purists, the Jordan Spizike has found its second wind in recent years, largely catapulted to those new heights by the surprising reception to the Jordan Spizike Low. As that re-cut has crested, Beaverton designers have dipped their toes back into its previous era (the “Obama” colorway a rather notable example), but they’re diving into the deep end now.
Briefly revisited in 2024, the initial height of the Jordan Spizike steps back into the fold via a Winterized edition. Many of the hallmarks from that previous stop stick around here, faithfully reprising the hardened touches like quilted uppers and waterproofed panels. Aesthetically, the Spizike Winterized also abides by calling up a fresh animated colorway, bucking the earthy, sometimes dreary hues that usually define Nike’s cold weather product. Perhaps with eyes on better befitting the younger demo these are made for, baby blue runs through the body of the shoe and its mudguard, defiantly contrasted by laser red translucent eyestays and wings.
Though these official images obviously dawn in the heat of summer, don’t expect the Jordan Spizike Winterized in “Photo Blue” to land until later this year. Upon arrival, a $150 MSRP in GS sizing is expected. Watch over this pair’s launch and all the brand has in store via our Jordan Release Dates tracker.
