Skechers Adds OG Anunoby To Growing Roster

It’ll take a bit more traction before Skechers enters the upper echelon of basketball shoes, but it’s hard to ignore how quickly they’ve assembled a formidable squad. Only beginning this story in October 2023, Skechers Basketball now adds another awarded veteran, the New York Knicks’ OG Anunoby.

Though the OG-Skechers connection becomes concrete via this announcement, Anunoby had been partial to their offerings well before. Right around the All-Star break this past season, the All-Defense alumni swapped from the Nike LeBron NXXT Genesis, his most common on-court choice, into the SKX Nexus. As the season concluded and became the postseason, he’d eventually test out additional kicks like the SKX Float and SKX Reign.

Of the signing, Anunoby shared: “Skechers has helped me continue to play basketball at an elite level and I love these shoes. I play quick and low to the court. I jump and move a lot. Skechers has the shoe to keep me comfortable, keep me protected and keep me playing my best every day.”

OG now joins All-Stars Julius Randle and Joel Embiid and a variety of additional NBA and WNBA talent, including Rickea Jackson, Jackie Young, Norman Powell, and Terance Mann. OG will be joining the latter on a European tour kicking off on July 26th.
