Nike Air Max 95 OG “Comet” Returning In 2026

Another original returns.

Nike Air Max 95 OG “Comet” Returning In 2026

With the Air Max 95 fully restored in its original form, Nike is counting down all the initial colorways from the 1990s era for a long-awaited re-issue. Expected this Summer 2026 is the “Comet” edition that stole hearts with an inversion of the iconic black/grey gradient, accented by a fiery pop of red.

The Air Max 95 “Comet” isn’t a stranger to the Retro cycle, appearing on store shelves on a number of occasions through the years. It returned in 2003 and again in late 2010 as part of the silhouette’s 15th Anniversary release. There were a few variations over the years as well; in 1998, Nike dropped an all-leather version in the Air Max SC, and later in 2021, a Cherry Blossom edition made waves as a tribute to Japan’s love of the colorway.

While it’s not clear if the Air Max 95 OG “Comet” will have the psi markings on the bubble, we can fully expect the restored Big Bubble unit as well as a full suede upper. The official color specs are White/Comet Red/Neutral Grey/Medium Grey/Black, promising a true-to-the-original mix. Stay tuned for more details and take a look at some shots of the original ’95 version below.
