Launching August 15th exclusively at the Yomiuri Giants team store.

Nike And The Yomiuri Giants Honor Shigeo Nagashima With The Air Force 1 “FOR3VER GIANTS”

Lifelong Yomiuru Giants player and manager Shigeo Nagashima receives a unique honor in the form of a limited edition Air Force 1 Low release. Dubbed the “FOR3VER GIANTS” edition, this tribute arrives just weeks after the legendary baseball figure passed away earlier this year in June.

A trailblazing figure in Japanese professional baseball, Nagashima is considered to be the greatest player in NPB history as well as an influential manager. Playing seventeen seasons with the Giants and managing the squad for another for fifteen, Nagashima’s experience almost reached Major League Baseball as he was offered a contract by the Los Angeles Dodgers back in 1966. He would decline, famously stating that “Japanese baseball would be set back 10 years.”

This commemorative release is based on an all-white Air Force 1 with a special “FOR3VER” logo marked on the heel, Two sets of custom laces that read “Our Giants Will Love Forever”, while custom lace dubrae features the legend’s 3 jersey number.

This special edition release is scheduled to launch on August 15th, 2025 at 10 AM JST on the Yomiuru Giants online store.
