It no longer feels like Teddy Santis’ Made in USA collections are appointment viewing for New Balance hardcores, but perhaps that’s where things were always supposed to head. The ALD founder’s tonal touches have become part of the fabric in Boston, spreading his highly-agreeable and ultra-wearable design language throughout the company. Nonetheless, Made in USA’s bi-annual cadence remains in place, and we’re beginning to see early seeds of FW25 with the New Balance 990v6 “Dark Camo.”
The autumnal overtones are impossible to miss here, beginning with texture “Dark Camo” suede trimming the upper on the eye-stays and mudguard. Between, off-white mesh and perforated beige leather continue the neutral theme, while “Natural Indigo” boldly counters those shades on the N branding and stripes towards the collar. Though certainly a novel colorway all things considered, this aligns well with product we’ve seen from Santis and NB before, as this vibrant / earthy juxtaposition has been reliable for multiple seasons now.
Teddy Santis’ past Made in USA F/W collections have started their rollout around August, likely indicating that this pair isn’t far behind. For additional proof, the New Balance 990v6 “Dark Camo” has started appearing at retailers already. Catch images below and be ready for a $220 retail price upon arrival.
