With the Jordan 4 “Cave Stone” release fast approaching, Jordan Brand’s retail partners are beginning to get their marketing in order. German sneaker chain Solebox is known to take things up a notch when big Jordan releases come their way, previously creating a full-on bread shop for the Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred” and rolling out an actual cement truck for the “Black Cement” 3s. For the “Cave Stone” 4s, Solebox keeps it close to home with an exclusive editorial campaign featuring FC Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies.
Davies has been a Nike athlete for years and first started appearing in the brand’s ads an 18-year-old back in 2018. For our purposes, the Ghana-born soccer star is also a certified sneakerhead and proud owner of an impressive Jordan collection. He’s also shaping up to be quite a hot commodity among German sneaker retailers, previously working with Munich’s BSTN on the Jordan 11 “Jubilee” in 2020.
Once again taking a literal approach to sneaker marketing, Solebox is staying true to the “Cave Stone” name with a limited collection of jewelry made in collaboration with a German goldsmith. Pendants, necklaces, and rings featuring brown diamonds and the texture of cave walls will be available via raffle, all packaged in engraved cases.
Details regarding Solebox’s jewelry raffle should go up soon on the @solebox IG page. The “Cave Stone” Jordan 4 will be available in-store and online via Solebox (and other NBHD EU chains) on August 21st. Full family sizes release globally on September 6th, priced at $215 for adults.
