AWAKE Jordan 5, adidas Jellyfish, And This Week’s Best Releases

Some tough, tough decisions coming.

AWAKE Jordan 5, adidas Jellyfish, And This Week’s Best Releases

We try as hard as possible not to be hyperbolic, but this really might be the most loaded slate we’ve seen all week. Truly, how many drops this year would be able to box the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard,” a shoe many likely would’ve pinned as a top 5 Jordan release of 2025 just a year ago, out of featured territory?

Yet that’s exactly the case, as the two Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 colorways, two of the Air Max 1000, and the long-awaited adidas Jellyfish nearly threaten to box the 2015 retro out of top 5 for this week alone. That’s not to mentioned the Nike Kobe 3 Protro “Halo” or the SNKRS launch of the Nike SB Air Max 95, more pairs that could’ve commanded star status in quieter weeks.

As you wade through that studded top cast, there’s still more to pay attention to; SR Studio re-upping their relationship with Vans, the debut of the Ja 3’s reveal “Price of Admission” edition, two new models from the UA Curry Brand team, and a fresh Salehe Bembury New Balance link-up are just some of the “honorable mention.”

On this edition more than ever, perusing through our full coverage of what’s on the way is crucial to ensure nothing slips through the cracks. Catch day-by-day breakdowns below, with hyperlinks leading back to our original articles for each shoe/drop attached to each one. There, you’ll find “Where To Buy” widgets containing comprehensive store lists and direct pick-up links for launch day. We’ll keep this page up to date with any late-breaking notables, but to stay entirely informed, keep an eye on our Sneaker Release Dates and Jordan Release Dates pages.

It’s rare to see any releases on a Sunday, let alone one so significant, but August 17th bucks that by bringing the official EQL raffle for the Awake NY Jordan 5.

August 19th is most notable for queuing up the Nike Air Max 1000 in “Oat” and “Black” colorways, the former exclusive to SNKRS, the latter exclusive to Zellerfeld. If you’re not feeling the Swoosh’s contributions, look instead to the Ghostbusters Crocs, bringing the resurgent franchise into footwear.

August 20th marks the second edition of the AJ40, the Jordan 40 “Blue Suede,” and also sees a fresh Boston innovation march on with the New Balance 2010 in black and “Linen.” As if sensing the theme, Salomon debuts their XT-Whisper Void in four colorways, bringing the model from the collab sphere to inline applications. Finally, the New Balance 9060 X crosses off just its second and third colorways.

August 21st brings Morant’s well-recieved signature another jolt with the Ja 3 “Price Of Admission.” An already-established OTW partner brings another collection via the SR Studio Vans capsule. Red Sox and Yankees fans duke it out on the Nike Dunk Low “Rivalry Pack,” and the Norwegian phenom adds a fresh PE with the Nike Phantom Elite 6 “Erling Haaland.

August 22nd offers the widest distribution of the Nike SB Air Max 95 to date, hitting SNKRS after a skate shop intro. The Salehe Bembury New Balance 1000 finally touches down, “Fog Be The Cloud” and all. Under Armour’s two tentpole athletes check off a new chapter: the UA Curry Series 7 and the UA Curry Fox 2 “World Tour.” A recent favorite of ours, the ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16 introduces another two-pack. Giannis’ latest goes neon with the Freak 7 “Live Wire,” the Reebok Tobe Nwigwe sees the multi-hyphenate double down on trademark tones. The Social Status GEL-1130 adds a wellness-centric exclusive, the Total 90 III Snakeskin blends the runway and the pitch. Lastly, the adidas adimule carries some familiar construction into its debut.

Choose your fighter on August 23rd; the red-hot adidas Jellyfish, the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard,” or the Kobe 3 “Halo?” If that S-tier trio wasn’t enough to satisfy, there’s also the Jordan Trunner “Rare Air,” resurfacing one of Jordan’s original off-court designs for a suddenly more amenable footwear landscape.
