With its first collaboration and opening salvo of colorways now out of the way, the New Balance 2010 is beginning to settle in as a regular cast member within the wider New Balance universe. Originally billed as as essentially a modern take on established 99x design language, that’s been the plan the whole time, and though the “new shoe smell” may be dissipating a bit, we’re no less impressed by the model all the same.
In similar fashion to some paired New Balance 2000 looks that just touched down in July, its Abzorb cousin now steps in with a two-pack sharing similar cues. The “Vintage Indigo” New Balance 2010 psports an easily digestible blend of off-white soles, white collars, and grey hits sprinkled through its profile, saving some amber-coated hues for the ABZORB pods to highlight its foremost tech aspects. In the upper, the titular hue coats the textured suede overlays in this shoe’s very topmost sections, splitting out into paler counterparts within the mesh and branching synthetics in between.
The New Balance 2010 “Vintage Indigo” is expected to touch down sometime in the Fall/Winter 2025 slate. The standard $160 retail price is all but confirmed.
