Nike surprised the sneaker community and specifically its hoops contingent with the return of the Nike Zoom GT Cut, in conversation for the Swoosh’s best recieved basketball innovations of the decade. With that well-established place in the heart of recreational and pro hoopers alike, they’ve been able to make every subsequent colorway of the silhouette a sell-out event, be it a reprisal of an original 2021-22 colorway or a fresh formulation entirely.
The Nike Zoom GT Cut “Laser Blue” fits into the latter category, approaching but not replicating a similarly titled “OG.” Though it shares the white uppers and overall foundation, this pair hinges on a far simpler arrangement, utilizing cerulean shades in the midsole while pinning select “Laser Orange” hits throughout, subtly on a gradient eyestay and boldly on rear branding. The heralded cushioning blend of Air Zoom, Zoom, and React remains in place, just one of the beloved performance aspects alongside the durable outsole traction.
No concrete date for the Nike Zoom GT Cut “Laser Blue” has surfaced just yet, but expect this pair to pop up on SNKRS sometime in the Fall 2025 season. The usual $190 MSRP is expected.
