It’s Last Chance U. The Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 “Racer Blue” re-releases on August 30th via SNKRS and select retailers, the wide distribution following the NY brand’s own launch earlier in the month. Retail remains at $230 in adult sizing. The pink pair will not be re-releasing. There’s a strong argument that the pink, store-exclusive version of the Awake Jordan 5 was the one that most were after, both the hotter secondary market commodity and the version most visible throughout the shoe’s rollout (debuted first, the center of multiple promo campaigns, etc.) However, the core of what makes this collaboration so highly-regarded remains, none more prominent than the trademark “A” netting that’s easily among the most transformative design tweaks anyone has brought to the Air Jordan 5.
