We’re just over four months removed from the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 6, and you’d know it based on recent leaks. Following news of a “Bin23” release, Trophy Room collabs, and a “Reverse Infrared” colorway inspired by an almost mythical sample, Sneaker Files and zSneakerHeadz are reporting that a Jordan 6 “Cap & Gown” is in the works for Summer 2026.
The “Cap & Gown” moniker references an official nickname given by Jordan Brand to an all-black Air Jordan 11 in 2018, which released during, you guessed it, graduation season. It’s not exactly clear whether the upcoming Jordan 6 too carries the “Cap & Gown” name in an official capacity, but its “Black/Multi-Color/Multi-Color” palette matches the established design theme. Moreover, the sneaker will supposedly feature reflective piping a la the speculative mockup above.
No concrete drop date for the Jordan 6 “Cap & Gown” is available at this stage, but Sneaker Files and zSneakerHeadz note a Summer 2026 release (meaning between next April-June). Know that our Jordan Release Dates page will be kept current with all the most current info.
