Jordan Brand Celebrates Día de Muerto With The Air Jordan 1 Low “Somos Eternos”

With the unofficial start of Fall behind us, we’re beginning to learn more about sneaker brands’ plans for the season’s many holidays. On the heels of an adidas Campus 00s inspired by the “Bread Of The Dead,” Jordan Brand is adding to the Día de Muerto category with a special-edition version of the Jordan 1 Low.

The sneaker is called the Jordan 1 Low “Somos Eternos,” which translates to “We Are Eternal” in English. Día de Muerto (Day Of The Dead) might sound morbid to the uninitiated, but it’s actually a day of joyful celebrations honoring of the lives of the deceased. Fittingly, the Jordan 1 Low “Somos Eternos” stands out with a playful blue, pink, and grey combination. A sun graphic appears in pink on the tongue, complemented by a cut-out Swoosh featuring a perforated border and black/brown texture underneath. A special box reading “Somos Eternos” accompanies the sneakers, as does a candle sticker.

The Jordan 1 Low SE “Somos Eternos” releases in Japan on September 8th but will see a larger release later this year, likely around Día de Muerto in late October/early November. See detailed images below and stay tuned for further updates.

Elsewhere on our Jordan Release Dates calendar, the Jordan 4 “Cave Stone” drops September 6th.
